# Built by Axiom — MovieFX Belgium

> The public archive, production workflow and business tools behind MovieFX were designed as one evolving platform — built around how a practical-effects studio actually works.

Canonical page: https://fx.a-xiom.online/axiom
Builder: Axiom (https://builtbyaxiom.be) — a Belgian studio that designs, builds and manages custom digital platforms for independent businesses.
Client: MovieFX, a Belgian practical (physical) special-effects studio for film, television, music videos and commercials.

## The work behind the work
MovieFX creates effects that have to work in the real world: on set, on time and under controlled conditions. Its digital platform needed the same discipline.
What began as a new public home became a connected operating system for projects, people, planning, costs, clients and publishing. The website and the back office share one source of truth, while unfinished productions stay private until MovieFX decides they are ready.

## Build story
### 01. Start with the archive
MovieFX had years of practical-effects work spread across film pages, images and production notes. The first task was not to flatten that history into a gallery, but to rebuild it as a living archive.
Projects can carry credits, imagery, clips, film data and translated stories. The public side stays cinematic and direct; the information underneath remains structured enough to search, connect and reuse.
> The archive is not decoration. It is the studio’s working memory.

### 02. One story, many surfaces
A film can begin as private material, become an approved project, feed a news story and later support a campaign. Media, projects, articles and film intelligence are linked rather than copied into separate systems.
English, Dutch and French are part of the same publishing flow. Brand Brain preserves the studio’s knowledge and helps prepare drafts, but nothing is published without a person reviewing it.
> Create once. Review carefully. Reuse without losing context.

### 03. Follow the production
The operational journey runs from inquiry and quote to production, crew planning, handovers, time approvals, direct costs, invoicing and reporting. Each department sees the same job from the angle it needs.
Readiness checks guard the handoff between stages. The calendar brings planning and real activity together, while the financial view compares accepted work with approved crew time, materials, equipment and supplier costs.
> One production, one journey, no duplicate version of the truth.

### 04. Private until it is public
Film work often exists long before it may be shown. Clients can supply material early, while MovieFX controls what is internal, what is approved and what becomes public.
A project can wait for a release date or a trailer trigger. Raw production material stays protected; only approved assets and information cross into the public site.
> Being ready to publish is not the same as having permission to publish.

### 05. Built to keep moving
Axiom works as an ongoing build partner, not a hand-off agency. New needs are reviewed in the live product, tested against the existing workflow and folded into the same system.
That matters for a studio whose process changes from one production to the next. The platform is designed to learn with MovieFX instead of forcing the company into a fixed template.
> A platform is not a delivery. It is a working relationship.

## FAQ
### Who built the MovieFX platform?
MovieFX was designed and developed with Axiom, a Belgian studio that builds and manages custom digital platforms for independent businesses.

### Is this a template?
No. The public site and operational tools were shaped around MovieFX’s archive, production workflow, release controls and team. Shared foundations speed up the work, but the product itself is specific to MovieFX.

### Does Axiom only build websites?
No. The public website is one surface. The same engagement can include content management, client workflows, planning, finance, publishing and other tools a business uses every day.

### What happens after launch?
The platform continues to evolve through review sessions and ongoing development. Changes are tested in context rather than collected for a large, distant hand-off.
